Shirli-Dixon Nelson
Shirli-Dixon Nelson passed away August 8th. The daughter of the legendary Willie Dixon, she was Executive Director of the Blues Heaven Foundation, and a powerhouse performer in her right. Year of the Blues sends its thoughts and condolences to her family, friends, and the many members of the blues community who have benefited from her tireless support of the music and its artists.
